THE TWINHAPPY TEAM
From left to right: Josie, Mommy & Anna
My name is Jennifer, a.k.a. Mommy to Anna & Josie :-) And, I decided to create this site because, before having twins myself, I knew very little about twins...
I had encountered a few sets of twins here and there, but there were no twins in my family, I didn't have any twin friends and the whole twin thing was just as much of a mystery to me as it is to most people I meet today :-)
That certainly has changed, though! I have learned a good deal, and now have first-hand experience with just how beautiful, special and yes, challenging, having twins can be. Of course, I wouldn't trade it for the world :-)
This at least started as a personal blog, dedicated to my life as a Mom to identical twins. I especially support the cause of TTTS (Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome) awareness, as Anna & Josie were born almost 10 weeks early due to an undiagnosed case of TTTS. They almost didn't make it, but we were one of the lucky ones and they not only survived, but have no real lasting effects from the TTTS (except perhaps that Anna is still a tiny bit bigger than Josie :-p)
In fact, in addition to this blog, I have also written a children's book (featuring twins!) called "Two Snowflakes" and, I have pledged to donate $1 for every copy sold to the Fetal Hope Foundation, an organization that promotes awareness of TTTS and other fetal syndromes.
However, back to TwinHappy, this blog has turned into a bit more than just a personal blog... I've also dedicated this to the twin community at large. We even have special events, including "TwinTuesday!"
So, if nothing else, be sure to check back here each Tuesday for the current celebration! :-) And, no matter what day it is, here's to having a TwinHappy Day! :-D
P.S. If you're interested in checking out even more of my work, I also have a site at autumnraindesign.com, listing things like current projects, other places you can find me, etc :-)
P.P.S. Keep up with all the goings-on here at TwinHappy by, following me on Twitter, becoming a fan of our Facebook Page and/or signing up for the TwinHappy Newsletter!
